Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller Only Shows L on Display

curt triflex brake control display only shows L. Display shows L. no explanation in manual and brakes dont appear to work and turning the thumbwheel doesnt change the display

If your Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV is only showing "L." and you have tried adjusting the sensitivity to no avail then there is one other thing you can try. You can attempt to reset the controller by unplugging it from its power source for a number of minutes and then plug it back in though you need to make sure the trailer isn't plugged in when you are doing this.
Should this not work then there was likely a short somewhere that damaged the controller's display and it will need to be replaced.
