Torx Trailer Screws for Half Inch Treated Wood Trailer Deck

Question:

Torx Trailer Screws. Two questions: First, what diameter of screw and what length would you recommend when laying a 2 inch x 6 inch of course, that means a 1-1/2 inch thick treated wood deck on a trailer estimate the metal beams are 1/8 inch thick? Second, wouldnt it be better to drill and afix the boards with bolts so that if a board is broken, it can be lifted up and replaced easily? The trailer is a 6 foot x 14 foot utility trailer.

While bolts would certainly work they would be more labor-intensive and a wood screw with a flush-mounted head will be just as effective.

I would go with the 2-1/2" Long Torx Trailer Floor and Wall Liner Screw for ACQ Treated Wood # TFX250ACQ; if you need a drill bit for these the correct one is the Torx Head Screwdriver Bit # TX430-1.
