Will Curt Trailer Wiring for 2013 Kia Soul Power a Trailer with LED Lights
Question:
My 2013 kia soul tail lights are not LED, but my trailer lights are. Will this harness power the trailer lights?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt harness, part # C56222, powers trailer lights regardless of whether the lights are LED or incandescent. It does only work on the Kia Souls that have incandescent lights and not LED lights so it's exactly what you need.
If you also still need a trailer hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite, part # 24839, because it doesn't require a support strap like the Curt does. The Curt only needs a strap if you're carrying accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier and it sounds like you're going to be towing a trailer but you never know what you may use it for in the future. The recommended ball mount for your Kia is part # 3593 with either # 19256 or # 19258 for a hitch ball depending on which size your trailer needs.
I've linked install videos for you. As well as some general articles on towing and installing a hitch.
