Recommendation For Wiring Harness to Fit a 2012 Ford Escape Limited 4x4 Without Factory Tow Package
Question:
I just bought this new SUV and Im still a little confused about the correct wireing harness.. It has the backup sensors and camera but does not have the tow package. Is C56329 still the correct harness for this SUV? 2012 Ford Escape Limited 4x4

On your 2012 Ford Escape Limited 4x4 without the tow package, you can use the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness, part # C56329, that you have referenced.
In order to install the Curt # C56329 wiring harness, you actually have to remove the tail lights to gain access to the wiring that goes to them. The harness has connectors that plug in line with the tail light wiring and an additional wire must be run to the battery at the front of the vehicle to power the trailer lights.
You could also use the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118551. I am including links to the installation details for both harnesses and a video showing a typical installation of the CURT wiring harness.
