In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2009 Nissan Titan you are going to need to use a fixed 5th wheel hitch with a rotating pin box because of the 5-1/2' bed otherwise, you would have very minimal turning clearance. For a fixed 5th wheel hitch, I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 with the Reese Semi-Custom Base Rail and Installation Kit part # RP30035-405. This option will give you a great starter hitch as well as a semi-custom install kit which only minimal modifications are required to make work.

The correct rotating pin box for you is most likely part # RP34FR or part # RP61422. However, trailer manufacturers do not provide us with exact pin box information therefore the only way you are going to be able to confirm the correct replacement is to either call the trailer manufacturer with your VIN and ask or look for the pin box number on the pin box you have now. If you provide me with either of these numbers I would be happy to do the leg work for you as well. Please note that the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge part # SWW-03 will also be needed.

For a brake controller, I really like the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3050-P.
