Using Erickson E-Track Components to Secure Jeep Wrangler to Steel Deck Trailer
Question:
I am looking to tie my Jeep Wrangler 4 door to a 10,000 lb capacity steel deck trailer. The trailer has an 11 gauge deck with 3inch cross members 24inch on center. Would 5 foot E Track Item # E19148 under all 4 tires work with it secured through the steel deck and through bolted on the cross members. I was planning to use the Erickson E-Track Tie-Down Kit Item # EM58523-09162 on all 4 tires. Thanks for your advice.

Using the 5 Foot Long E-Tracks # E19148 along with the E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM58523-09162 you referenced is a great way to secure your Jeep Wrangler to the steel deck trailer. I did reach out to my contact at Erickson just to get her thoughts on the setup and she said as long as you go through that steel deck to the cross members with the E-Track mounting hardware (which it sounds like you plan on doing) you won't have any issues with regards to safety. This will provide you with an extremely secure and easy to use system so that you can transport your Jeep when needed.
The adjustability that this system creates will also allow you to secure different sized vehicles if you ever move away from the Jeep. I have attached a few short video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.
