No Power on Boat Trailer After New Lights Installed
Question:
Got new trailer lights grounded trailer lights to back of trailerl took white wire from truck and grounded it to trailer still no power also took white grounded from truck to hitch I have power why every thing has been clean to bare metal and my truck is a 2018 dodge ram the tail light are led and the light have been test they work could this be the ball and receiver i clean ball off

The first thing I would do is test each of the pins inside your vehicle side trailer connector. If you are not getting power here then make sure the ground for the trailer connector is attached to a bare metal surface on the vehicle's frame. If so then check your fuse box for blown trailer lights fuses.
If you are getting power on the vehicle side trailer connector then I recommend you tie the ground for each of your trailer lights (if applicable) into one another and then run them to a single point on the tongue, alongside the trailer side trailer connector ground. If you by chance have an aluminum frame trailer then this could very well be why you are having this issue as aluminum does not make for the best ground.
I also recommend that you check the wires going into the back of the trailer connector as well as checking to make sure you don't have any blown bulbs. If none of the above works then I recommend you take the trailer in to be serviced.
