Trailer Hitch Comparison for 2019 Kia Sedona

Question:

The Draw-Tite and Curt trailer hitches for a 2019 Sedona look to be pretty much the same thing when I was comparing them. Is there really any difference between them or just made by different folks?

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75894 and Curt Trailer Hitch # C13115 that fit your 2019 Kia Sedona are extremely similar. They install the same way at the same spot under the car (neither require drilling, they just bolt on) and both are Class III hitches with a 2" receiver and have a 4,000 lb towing capacity and 400 lb tongue weight capacity. Additionally, both have a powder coat for corrosion resistance and come with a lifetime warranty.

The manufacturers and the fact that the Curt hitch is made in the USA while the Draw-Tite is not are the only differences between these two hitches. I have added links to video installations of both hitches on a Sedona for you to take a look at.

If you are looking to tow a trailer with your '19 Sedona you will also need a wiring harness and ball mount. For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights you should use the highly reliable Wiring Harness # C56332. It is also recommended you use Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector, which will increase its durability and extend its lifespan.

I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop – along with a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.

You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise.
