Are Anchor Plates and Hardware Included with the Yakima Tracks
Question:
Do these tracks part # Y01135 come with anchor plates for mounting things to them? If so, how many? I will be mounting a solar panel to these tracks using a bracket, but need the plates to attach the brackets to the track. If the anchor plates are not included, would part # Y8890028 be correct? Or Y8810074? Thanks for you help.

Expert Reply:
The Yakima 60" Tracks # Y01135 only come with hardware to mount the tracks. The hardware bag # Y8890028 is designed for mounting the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221 in these tracks so I wouldn't be able to tell you off-hand if these are compatible for your solar panel application or not.
I did go out to the warehouse and found that the M6 x 20 screws will allow you to have about 1/2" of material between the washer and the top of the Yakima tracks. If the mounting brackets for your solar panels are no more than 1/2" thick then you should be able to make this work if the M6 x 20 screws are compatible as well.
