Could Crossbars of Rola Haul Your Might Ladder Rack be Trimmed Shorter

I think for my 2019 tacoma, the rack would look better with a little less sticking out on the ends. I would like to know if the top bar can be trimmed without affecting the locking end caps. If so, what type of blade or cutting tool would you recommend?

If you really wanted to you could shorten the crossbars of the Rola Haul Your Might Ladder Rack part # 59799 that you referenced. If you check out the picture I attached you can see that as long as you cut is squarely the cap would still be able to reinstall after. If you had something like a radial arm saw with a blade that can cut metal you'd be good. Basically anything that will let you make the cut as squarely and cleanly as possible. Watch your fingers!
