What If My 7 Way Wiring Doesnt Match the Diagram?

The red wire off my 7 pin runs my turn signal. But that does not match the diagram. Why is that

Some manufacturers use different color wiring than the standard. Don't be thrown by the color but rather make sure the function and location are correct to confirm correct fit. You can test each function using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to determine if the pin locations are correct for each function.
Note: You won't get a brake controller output reading unless you hit the manual override on your brake controller or if you are actually moving if it is proportional brake controller. Simply pressing the brake pedal won't work unless you have a time delayed controller which does not require movement for the output signal.
