Troubleshooting New Trailair Pin Box Hitting Bed Rails on Truck

Question:

I just recently bought a lippert air ride pin box from you to replace the 1621HD. I am currently having a issue where when I turn and the trailer gets into a dip it touches the rear portion of the truck bed rail. I have never had this issue with the original pin box. Can you tell me if I have it installed currently or if I could do some type of adjustment on the pin box or on my BandW fifth wheel hitch in the truck.

It is possible that the new Trailair Air Ride Pin Box # LC158778 is just a tad longer than the factory 1621HD that the trailer came equipped with, just enough to cause some interference with the bed rails during turns with a dip in the road.

What you can try doing to resolve this is adjust the pin box on the trailer itself to higher mounting holes along with raising the height of your B&W 5th wheel hitch. There are a few different B&W model hitches available but all of them do have an adjustable height.

Raising both the pin box and your hitch should keep the trailer level while lifting up the connection point enough to clear the bed rails during those turns. If this does not resolve the issue please let me know and I can offer some other possible solutions.
