Can the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent be Installed on an ARE Fiberglass Truck Cap
Question:
Looking at the Maxxfan 7500k, is an ARE fiberglass truck cap thick enough for this unit? I my dogs need air movement!!

Even though vents like the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent # MA00-04500K were designed for trailers, it is becoming more and more popular to use them for different applications. You should be able to install this unit no problem on your ARE fiberglass truck cap but the installation will be totally custom and you will want to use some plywood to help support it.
I have attached an installation video that we shot of the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06200K being installed on a 2017 Ford Transit T150. If you watch starting from the 3:15 minute mark you can see what extra parts we used and how we installed it on the Transit. I see no reason why you should be able to apply this same concept to your truck cap using the MaxxFan Plus roof vent so that your dogs can have a well ventilated space.
