Will Camco Vented RV Bumper Cap Fit 3-3/4 by 3-3/4 Inch Inner Dimensions?

Question:

Thanks for the info Jason. My bumper is not standard. I had it custom built to replace my old standard light-weight bumper that had structural damage. My bumper is 1/8" wall thickness, where standard is 1/16" wall. If I order this part on the basis that you say it will fit (tight), and then find it does not fit, can I return it at no cost to me? I'd rather not go through the hassle if there is a good chance it will have to be returned. Thanks

The Camco Vented RV Bumper Cap w/ Tether # CAM40324 will fit your standard 4 inch bumper that has inner dimensions for 3-3/4 inches by 3-3/4 inches nice and snug. The integrated fins will keep this cap secure to give you a clean finished look to your bumper and allow you to either store things within or keep things out.

You obviously have a unique situation so I went to the warehouse to make the specific measurements for you so you can be confident about the fit. From outside edge to outside edge it is 4-1/8 inches square. From the farthest fin edge to edge it is 3-7/8 inches. From the smallest point to the smallest point not accounting for the fins it is 3-9/16 inches. The fins are a very sturdy plastic and not very flexible at all. They are designed to fit and grip so there is some give, but they are not flimsy. It is likely you'd need to sand or file the fins if you are planning on taking this cap in and out. If you will be leaving it in, you can most likely use a block and hammer to drive it into place without any modifications. I hope that info is helpful.
