Substitute Fat Bike Wheel Tray for Platform Bike Rack
Question:
The arm on my bike rack is 1 1/4” W and 3/4 H, will any of your fat tire replacement trays work? My bike rack is a Road-Max and I have not been able to find any parts from them. Thank you,

We do not carry the Road-Max brand of racks so I reviewed photos online to get a sense of the rack's design. Thank you for the 1-1/4 x 3/4-inch dimension for the arched cross bars.
Most rack parts such as extra large replacement wheel trays for fat bikes tend to be brand and product specific but there may be a way to use a part from another maker though modifications may be required.
I checked several of the kits most likely to work and found that the Swagman part # S64694 will work. This metal wheel tray has a screw-down attachment clamp that fits 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 square tubing so it can work for you. Just stop by any hardware store to pick up some flat steel brackets (or one that you can cut into 1-inch lengths) to take up the extra space. You will need 1/2-inch thick material, or two pieces of 1/4-inch thick material for each wheel holder.
The Swagman Fat Bike Adapter Kit # S64694 is a set of two wheel trays which accept tires up to 5-inches wide.
