5th Wheel Hitch for 2014 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2-Foot Bed for Towing Trailer with Revolution Pin Box
Question:
What parts do I need to tow a 2019 Rockwood with a reese revolution. I have a 2014 f150 5.5 box. A husky dual hitch with a reese 00035 rail kit will not work, they say I need a frame kit 00095, it sets back 2 inches, but they have superceded the 95 with the 35 help?

Towing a 5th wheel trailer that has a Revolution (or Sidewinder) pivoting pin box requires a standard fixed-type hitch (a non-sliding one) and a set of frame-mounted industry-standard base rails in the truck.
Your 2014 F-150 with 5-1/2-foot bed can use Reese base rail kit # RP50081-58 which is a custom kit that will reduce installation time. With it you can use a fixed hitch of the capacity you need for your specific trailer GVWR, such as Reese 20K # RP30928 or 16K # RP30047.
Revolution and Sidewinder pin boxes change the trailer's pivot point from the center of the hitch jaws by 22-inches to the rear, to the pivoting turret assembly.
With a very short bed truck like yours even a Revolution or Sidewinder pin box may not provide a full 90-degrees of turning clearance. This is why 5th wheel towing is best done with long bed trucks.
