A 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0L is rated for a max towing of 12,000 lbs based on my research, so you could pull that trailer with minimal added weight before surpassing your capacity. It is really easy to add 700 lbs when you are talking about adding the basics of camping conveniences and that would be your absolute max towing capacity. Your truck can definitely handle the pin weight, it is the max towing that would be maxed out.

If you choose to move forward, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50064-58 and then the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # RP30047.
