Will Thule UpRide Bike Rack Fit T-Slot of Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbars for Track Mount System

Question:

Hello. I have a Thule UpRide bike rack that mounts on to my Thule crossbars using the T-slot. Will the Thule UpRide mount to the slot in the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero bars? Are Thule, Yakima, and Rhino rack fairly compatible with regard to T-slot fit between crossbars and accessories? I want to mount this ladder rack to the top of a Diamondback SE tonneau cover. I need to cut each track in half to mount on the front and back opening pieces of the Diamondback tonneau cover. See the attached picture showing the Diamondback with fixed point crossbars. I want to mount tracks so I can move the crossbars. Do you sell extra track ends? Ill need 4 additional track ends once Ive cut the two tracks. If not, do you sell short compatible tracks? Thank you.

Yes, the Thule UpRide # TH599000 will fit the T-Slot channels of the Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbars. The Rhino-Rack tracks don't have extra end caps available but I do have another solution for you. I confirmed this with my contact at Rhino-Rack.

The Yakima tracks, similar to the Rhino-Rack tracks, do have replacement end caps that will allow you to easily do what you are wanting to do. The Yakima tracks come in 3 different lengths; 42" # Y01126, 54" # Y01127, and 60" # Y01135. You will just need to purchase the appropriate length for how much you want to be able to move your roof rack. You can purchase additional end caps for the tracks with part # Y8810103.

Then for the rest of the roof rack system you can use the 65" Vortex Bars # RRVA165B-2, the Quick Mount Legs # RRRLT600, and the Adapter Kit # RRT-FK3 to mount the Rhino-Rack legs and crossbars to the Yakima tracks.

The RRRLT600 legs come with metal lock cores but the crossbars don't. If you would like to upgrade the plastic lock cores of the crossbars with metal ones then you need part # RRVA-LEC4. If you would like to use the same key for the crossbars and legs then you need part # RRRK001-8 instead.
