Determining Replacement Hubs for EZ Lube Spindles
Question:
Can I use any hub on an ez lube spindle or are their hubs made just for the ez lube spindles. I need a hub with a bolt pattern of 5 on 5. The only hub I see with a, 5 on 5, bolt pattern is not advertised for ez lube spindles. Is the dust cap the only diference? This is for a 3500 lb axel with 10inch electric brakes.

EZ Lube spindles are compatible with all idler hub and brake hub and drum assemblies, and the only difference is the seal and grease cap. To determine the correct replacement hub for your trailer, you will need to pull off your existing hubs to determine the bearing numbers.
The difference between the EZ lube hub and drums and the non EZ lube hub and drums is the grease cap and seal. The EZ lube ones like the # 84546UC3-EZ have a removable rubber seal on the cap that allows you to access the grease fitting of the EZ-lube spindles and have a double lip seal.
For an EZ lube hub, with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern, you will need the EZ Lube Trailer Hub & Drum Assembly, part # 84556UC3-EZ. You will need to check your existing bearings to make sure part # 84556UC3-EZ will fit.
