Recommended Hardware for Installing Demco Brake Actuating Coupler

Question:

Etrailer: I am using this Demco actuator to replace a badly corroded Titan actuator of the same weight rating. I have researched your site and Demcos site for installation recommendations - specifically how many bolts should be used to mount the coupler to the tongue? Any guidance us much appreciated.

The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Drop and Electric Lockout - Disc - Zinc - 2-5/16" Ball - 8K # DM8750311 has 5 holes for adjustability and fit with the majority of couplers. The weight rating is based on utilizing all of the bolt holes to secure a coupler of this size. It is recommended to use five 1/2" x 4-1/2" Grade-5 bolts which are not included.

Unfortunately we don't have those bolts but your local hardware store will have them readily available.
