Backup Camera System Used with Factory Monitor on a Ram 3500

Question:

I have a 3500 Dodge Ram that has a factory installed backup system for the truck. Is there a wired backup system that I can install in our 41 foot 5th wheel that can be integrated/connected to the trucks current system? I have viewed several RVS systems and I am interested in a 3 camera system for the 5th wheel.

I do have a camera system that will tie into the factory in-dash monitor on a 2010 - 2019 Ram 3500 with the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for Factory Monitor part # 3460015 but this as I am sure you can see installs on the vehicle and is used predominantly for hitching the trailer to an in-bed hitch. I am not aware of a backup/observation system for the trailer that works in conjunction with the factory in-dash monitor.

The best wired trailer camera system we have for you is the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System part # RVS-770613-213 which comes with quick connect connectors, a 7" color LCD monitor, and has the ability to add multiple cameras. If you want to opt for a wireless system instead then I recommend taking a look at the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket part # FOS05TASF which is the same system installed on most trailers from the factory. I also recommend the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light Bracket part # FCE48TASL with this system.

Taking this a step further, is there a way to integrate the Furrion wireless camera into the 2020 Ram 12" Uconnect system? I'm hoping to avoid the second monitor with all that available screen space.

I really wish that was possible but the Furrion camera systems will only work with their own monitors. This is actually the case with all of our available trailer camera setups.
