Is Curt Q20 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with Reese 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin
Question:
I have a Curt Q 20 slider hitch. If I change the slider out with the replacement legs C16904 could I use the Reese airborne premium air ride pin box? Also what wedge would I need? Thanks

I do have a solution for you but unfortunately the Curt Q20 hitch head is not compatible with a pin box that has a rotating turret like the Reese 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin. This is due to the spherical axial bearing that allows the hitch head to easily pivot.
Instead, I would go with the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 and Wedge # RP64FR. The wedge will keep the king pin from rotating inside the fifth wheel hitch and this setup will work well with a sidewinder.
The 5th Airborne Premium part # RP61452 that you referenced is a direct replacement for Venture pin box model numbers CJ20517, CJ13515 and CJ13517 as well as the Dexter pin boxes: 221-0033-00 and 221-0031-00. If one of these is what your 5th wheel trailer currently has then this Airborne is the correct fit for your trailer. If not just let me know what the pin box number is and I can direct you to the correct replacement as these are pin box specific.
