The first step is to check the connectors on the vehicle and trailer side for any build up or corrosion. If the connectors are not clean they will not seat properly. It is also a good idea to check the fuses in the vehicle.
If the connectors and fuses are all okay it sounds like you may have a weak ground connection. In most situations when there is a weak ground, one function will not work while the others do. That is because the ground connection is not strong enough to ground the additional power draw from the other functions. Make sure the ground connections are clean, free of dirt and corrosion. Disconnect the ground connections and clean the ring terminals and mounting locations. The ground on the vehicle and trailer side need to be mounted to a clean, bare metal surface.
If the grounds look okay, you need to test the trailer connectors for power. Use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2992, to test the pins on the vehicle's trailer connector. You need someone to sit in the vehicle and run through the functions while testing the connector for functions. This tells you if the problem is with the vehicle or the trailer. If the problem is at the vehicle connector then trace the wiring forward in the vehicle looking for any damage or pinch points.
Most likely the vehicle connector will test fine and the issue is on the trailer side. In this case inspect the wiring from the trailer connector back in the trailer also looking for damage or pinched wires.
If you still can't solve the issue after these steps let me know what you have found and we'll keep troubleshooting.
