The Convert-a-ball gooseneck adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 should give you the clearance you need with a 7 1/2 inch offset because the nose of the trailer is tapered. The Convert-a-ball will adapt the gooseneck connection in the bed to a 5th wheel king pin style connection.

If you would like to measure to make sure the Convert-a-ball will be enough clearance for you. You can measure the width of the fifth wheel trailer and divide that number in half, then measure from the gooseneck ball to the back of the Ram's cab adding 7 1/2 inches for the offset the Convert-a-Ball provides. If the measurement from the ball to the cab plus the offset is at least 4 inches longer than half of the width of the trailer, you will have clearance. I have attached a Convert-a-Ball video for you.
