Can Curt Echo Brake Controller be Used on 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD with Factory Brake Controller

Question:

Will the Echo work on a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with factory brake controller? I did not see the 2500HD listed in the vehicle list.

The Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 will work great on your 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD that is equipped with the factory controller. This is really a universal unit that just needs a 7-Way connector on the tow vehicle with the 12V pin active for proper operation.

When it's plugged into the 7-Way on your Sierra it will take over the trailer braking duties and basically override the factory integrated controller on the truck. The two systems will not interfere with each other.

I really like this controller because of how easy it is to install and the fact that you don't need to add a separate unit or monitor in the cab since your smartphone is what is used to adjust any settings or activate the manual override.
