Available Spring Bars for Fastway E2 Weight Distribution Hitch for 260-lb Trailer Tongue Weight
Question:
I have purchased a e2 hitch. The hitch is rated for 8000 lbs witch far exceeds my camper. I and wanting to change out the round bars from the current 600 lb tounge bars to the 450 lb tounge bars as my trailer weights less than 3000 lbs and the tounge weight is only 260 lbs. Can the bars be switched out or must I purchase a new hitch made specifically for the smaller weight rating? Thanks.

In the case of round bar e2 weight distribution systems from Fastway all of their round bars are cross-compatible since they all use the same head assembly. You can use any of the following spring bars. You will need to order a quantity of 2.
I have indicated all bars' effective tongue weight (TW) range. Ideally your loaded trailer's TW will fall in the middle of the range.
# FA94-02-1099 is for TW of 600 to 1000-lbs
# FA94-02-0899 is for TW of 400 to 800-lbs.
# FA94-02-0699 is for TW of 200 to 600-lbs.
For your TW you will definitely want to use 2 of the lightest bars, part # FA94-02-0699.
