If you just have the Curt R16 Round Tube Slider part # C16560 then you will also need a hitch head and set of base rails and frame brackets. This will then provide you with everything you need to attach the trailer to your tow vehicle. For a 5th wheel hitch head you have three different options, the Replacement Head Unit for Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16515, the Replacement Head Unit for Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # C16520, or the Replacement Head Unit for Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16530 (Q16 No Longer Available).
The main difference between these three options is the locking jaws. The E16 has a single slide bar locking jaw, the Q20 has dual locking jaws, and the A16 has dual interlocking jaws. The dual interlocking jaws are the best followed by the dual locking jaws, and single slide bar locking jaw in that order. The A16 also has an easy one pin head removal system which makes removing and installing the hitch manageable for one person. If you have the extra funds then this would be the one to go with but the others will still work as well.
For a set of base rails and frame brackets, I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC part # C16418-204 which as the title states is a custom fit so no drilling into the frame is required. The only other thing you may want but is not always required is an in-bed wiring harness for which I recommend using the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness part # C56070.
I have attached an install video of the base rails/frame brackets and the wiring harness for you.
