Installing Battery Charge Line on Motorhome and Towed Vehicle to Maintain Dinghy Battery

Question:

rm 156-25 to keep my crv battery charged during long flat towing trips. My 2012 Honda CR-V also has a patriot braking system draining the car battery. Can this rm 156-25 be used when the crv is connected to my class c four winds rv with a flat four pin wiring connector? Is there a video showing the installations?

The Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 is a great help for your 2012 Honda CR-V especially because your Patriot brake unit will be drawing power. To utilize this you will need power from your motorhome as well using the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75.

Since you only have a 4-way on your motorhome and vehicle, you will need a different connection. I recommend using the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717 on your motorhome and connecting the power wire from the charge line to the black wire. Then you can use the Hopkins Nite-Glow Tow Bar Extension Cord w/ Socket - Coiled - 7-Way RV to 6-Way Round - 8' Long # HM47054 which will give you the 6-way connection for the front of your CR-V. I've attached a photo to help with the connection locations.
