Can a Ladder Rack and Tonneau Cover Be Used Together on a 2016 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

Will this rack fit my 2016 Tacoma short bed, which has a Pace Edwards Ultra Groove Tonneau Cover? The cover, Im told, will accommodate certain racks by Thule and Yakima. Thanks,

I do have a great option for you but there would be no way to use both the Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Hard Tonneau Cover part # 311-KMTA10A38 and the Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack for Toyota Tacoma part # TH27000XTB-XK4B together at the same time. The reason for this is that the TracONE clamps would not be able to mount with the rails for the UltraGroove installed as they both fight for the same space.

If you do not wish to choose between the TracONE and UltraGroove then there is a compromise which is to use the channels integrated into the UltraGroove. For this, I recommend the Thule ProBar Evo System part # TH713700, part # TH460R, and part # THKIT3101. The ProBar's have a 220 lb weight capacity and can be cut for an exact fit. This option will not allow you to haul your items over the cab of the truck but there would be no way to do so for this vehicle with a tonneau cover installed so you will need to choose between one or the other unfortunately.
