Trailer Hitch for Jayco Fifth Wheel

Question:

How wide will this hitch go? I’m wanting to mount it on a jayco Pinnacle fifth wheel.

The Curt # C13900 will fit frames up to 41 inches but it isn't the best option for your Jayco Pinnacle fifth wheel trailer.

There are hitches made for RVs that I recommend using because they are designed to bolt or weld onto RV frames as opposed to the aforementioned multi-fit hitch which is designed to be used on a number of different passenger vehicles.

The most popular hitch for RVs is the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703 which will fit box frames, C-channel frames, or I-beam frames that measure between 22 inches and 72 inches. This hitch has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity and 3,500 lb towing capacity although you are going to want to contact your trailer manufacturer to find out what the capacity of your Pinnacle is.

I have added a link to a couple video reviews of this hitch for you to check out as well.

Can you please confirm if the 13900 hitch will work on a 2020 Acura RDX. Thank you.

The Curt # C13900 is not a good fit for your 2020 Acura RDX. For your vehicle I instead recommend the Draw-Tite Class III # 76268, which offers a simple bolt-on installation.

@ChrisR thank you for clarifying. As others have also asked about the tailgate sensor, does this 76268 block the sensor? I don’t want to give that function up by putting on the hitch.

@MarkF We have heard from a few customers that the Draw-Tite # 76268 did completely block the sensors for the lift gate. I wish there was a good way around this but it looks like this will be the case for any hitch on your Acura RDX.
