Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2019 Volkswagen Golf
Question:
For a 2019 volkswagen golf i am looking to tow a very light trailer, less than even 1,000 lbs. I need a trailer hitch and wiring so what would you recommend for me?

To tow a light trailer with your 2019 VW Golf you need to start with a trailer hitch and the best option is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11412 because it is a complete bolt-on installation, is made in the USA and comes with a lifetime warranty.
This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and a 2,000 lb towing capacity and 200 lb tongue weight capacity which will be well within the range of the 1,000 lb or so trailer you will be towing. This will fit all models of 2019 VW Golf with the exception of the R models.
The correct ball mount for this hitch is the Curt # C45521; you will need Pin and Clip # F-4 to keep in secure in your hitch and either 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # A-80 or 2" Hitch Ball # A-82 depending on the size of your trailer's coupler.
The wiring harness I recommend for your '19 Golf is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118646 because it is easy to install on your VW; you will only need to plug it into connection points behind your taillights and run a hot lead to your battery. Additionally, the harness manufacturer, Tekonsha, has a very strong reputation for creating quality, reliable wiring products. This will fit VW Golf's with the exception of GTI and R models.
I have added a link to a video installation of the Curt hitch for you to check out as well as a link to a video review of the wiring harness.
