Will 4.75 Pilot Hole Fit with 4.75 Hub for the Dexstar Dual Wheel with Offset # AM20783

Question:

i am looking for dually wheels for 10,000 lb axle. 8 on 6.5, 5/8 stud, 4.75 inch hub size. I guess the wheel i buy determines if it is hub piloted or stud piloted? Will a hub piloted wheel with a center hole of 4.75 inch fit on a hub that measures 4.75? It shouldnt should it? What size wheel hole will i need?

Generally if the hub has studs on it then it is stud piloted but if you secure the wheel to the hub using bolts then it is hub piloted. Since you are using dual wheels it changes things a little bit.

The Dexstar Dual Wheel with Offset # AM20783 that you referenced is designed to fit on a dual wheel setup that is hub piloted. This means that the studs come through the back side of the hub and extend through both wheels and you use a 5/8" flange nut, like part # 95188, to secure it. Hub piloted wheels are much more common on dual wheel applications so it should be what you have. The 4.75" measurement that you are talking about is exactly what you need as well. The pilot hole of this wheel fits snug around the hub so the measurements need to match.

As long as the 16" x 6" size of the wheel and the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern match what you are currently using this will work for your application! I have attached a review video for you to check out as well.
