Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Chevy Trax
Question:
Will it be able to tow a log splitter?
asked by: Troy
Expert Reply:
The 2019 Chevy Trax is rated for towing and we do have the Curt hitch part # C11527 that fits this vehicle that has a 2,000 lb towing capacity which would be more than enough for a log splitter. Your vehicle looks to have a towing capacity of between 1,500 and 3,500 lbs depending on how it's equipped as well.
Then for trailer wiring you'd want the part # 118659 for if you have an LS model or the part # 118751 for if you have an LT or a Premier.
Then for a ball mount you'd want the part # 3594 and for a hitch ball part # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or part # 19257 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
