The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76209 you asked from is a great option for your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. This hitch is very close to flush with the bumper with the hitch pin hole recessed 2 inches. The similar Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13382 is identical in that hitch pin hole being 2 inches behind the bumper and the receiver being close to flush with the bumper. They have identical ground clearances and the biggest difference is in rated capacity and style. The Draw-Tite option has a round crossbar and an integrated bracket for installing the trailer wiring.
The wiring, ball mount, pin and clip, and any bracket are sold separately. For your trailer wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467 which will simply connect to your factory harness. That connection is located in the rear cargo are behind the trim panel or in the spare tire area. I've attached a video to assist. This harness can be stored inside your vehicle when not in use, so you don't need to use a bracket at your hitch unless desired. If desired, you can run the wire through a rubber grommet near your spare tire and out to the mount location then use # 18144. Then use sealant # LT37467 to make the grommet water tight around the wiring.
Then for your ball mount I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit - 3/4" Rise or 2" Drop - 7,500 lbs # 989899. This kit has the hitch pin, clips, ball mount, hitch ball, and carrying case you need to tow. I've attached an article on the ball mount basics to help.
