How to Use a Husky 16K 5th Wheel Hitch on a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with Prep Package

Question:

I was wondering if Husky makes replacement leg for the 16kw hitch. I have a 2019 GMC 3500 long bed with the OEM puck system so I would like to replace just the legs to convert from the rack style to the puck style. My hitch is still in great condition and I dont want to purchase an entire new hitch if I can utilize my head and crossmember from the existing hitch.

The only option I can offer you to use the Husky Silver Series 16K W 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # HT31326-31314 on your 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 is with the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6206. This adapter will drop into the pucks and then allow you to mount your Husky 5th wheel hitch without any modification. If you ever did get a new hitch you would not be limited to a Husky one as this adapter will work with any 5th wheel hitch that mount using industry standard rails.
