Will Bargman 7-Way Socket # 50-87-004 Fit Bargman 7-Way Plug
Question:
Many months ago I purchased an extreme weather 7-pin Bargman Trailer connector Blue Silicon extended connector for the full wiring refurbishment of my large enclosed car trailer. I wanted the best item available to allow extended service for years of trouble free operation. Recently as I was connecting a new F350SD with factory installed trailer wiring. I came to realize the pins of the Bargman trailer connector do not seat into the truck plug at all. Thinking this was unusual I pulled my F250 SD with a Hopkinsinch plug on it and found it too does not accept Bargman plug either. I am more than a little concerned I spent a massive amount of time and energy installing a plug system on my trailer that does not fit into most typical factory truck connectors. Unfortunately I used the long arrangement fished it through conduit and the trailer frame to a junction box so it is not as easy as simply abandoning the Bargman and install another. Have you experienced this problem previously? Im assuming the only way to solve this dilemma without rewiring my trailer would be to make an adapter bringing me to the base question Will the Bargman #50-87-004 truck side plug accept the Bargman Blue Silicone Molded plug I have used for my trailer? It is a real shame I am stuck with a plug on my trailer that does not fit any other manufactures truck side plugs!

The Bargman Silicone 7-Way Plug 54006-010 that you have is a standard style 7-way plug that the # 50-87-004 that you referenced is designed to fit. I can't say we've seen this issue before so would it be possible for you to send me pictures of the connectors you have on both your truck and trailer?
