Best Drill Bit for Enlarging Frame Holes in a 2018 Hyundai Sonata for Trailer Hitch

Hi was wondering if someone could help me with the installation. I tried using a step drill Bit to enlarge the rear Hole but have gotten nowhere for past couple hours, Is there a better tool to use to enlarge the holes easier?

The step-up drill bit that you are using is great for many things such as large holes but when drilling smaller uniform holes in thicker metal they are not the best tool to use. Instead, you will want to look into a standard drill bit that is designed for metal such as the 1/2" Titanium Drill Bit part # PTW8589. I would also be sure to use some sort of lubricant and a high powered drill. The combination of these three items will make for the most seamless process. If you have a neighbor with a more high powered drill that may suffice as well but the drill bit is the most important tool for enlarging the holes in your frame rail.
