Correct Fitting for Camco Pigtail 59053 to 2-Stage Regulator with Missing Fitting
Question:
When replacing one of the pigtails for the 2 stage system that came on my 2012 Forest River DLX travel trailer the connector that went from the pigtail to the 2 stage controller got lost. Im not local to my trailer so I only know that the pigtail is too small to fit directly into the controller. From the research Ive done it looks like it is a 1/4 inch female to 3/8 inch male. Is that correct? Also is just a straight fitting or is the a reducer on the male end? The pigtail has a reducer already on it. The pigtail that I bought is Camco part 59053.

Thank you for all of the details on your situation!
The fitting that you need to connect your Camco Propane Supply Hose # CAM59053 to the regulator, like part # CAM59005 (without one of the fittings), is the Camco # CAM59953. This has a 1/4" Male NPT end that connects to your regulator and then a 1/4" Female Inverted Flare end that you connect your pigtail to.
The reason that the title don't match up with the fittings you are looking at is because the titles refer to the propane hose inner diameter as opposed to the actual fitting. If you check out the attached photo you can see how the thread diameter will vary on fittings that have the same title.
I have also attached a link to our propane fittings article that you can reference.
