Comparing BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover BAK72309 and FiberMax Hard Tonneau Cover BAK126309
Question:
wHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BAKFLIP F1 VRS THE FIBERMAX OTHER THAN PRICE?
asked by: VINCE E
Expert Reply:
What is different between these two tri-fold covers is the thickness and type of finish of the panels. On the lower-priced FiberMax cover # BAK126309 the thickness of the panels is 1/2-inch and they are painted but on the F1 # BAK72309 the panels are 5/8-inches thick and have a baked-on powder coat finish. As a result of this heavier construction this cover also has a longer warranty, 3 years versus 2 for the FiberMax.
The BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK72309 and their FiberMax Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK126309 are both confirmed fits on your 2014 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2-foot bed and without the Bed Cargo Management System. Both are hard folding covers with aluminum and fiberglass construction that are USA-made.
Videos for both of these tonneau covers are linked for your reference.
