Recommended Wiring for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller in 1986 Suzuki Samurai
Question:
Here is my follow-up question...I forgot to mention that I have aftermarket LED brake and turn lamps in custom off-road bumpers. Being that I had to change over to an LED flasher in order for the all LED setup to function correctly will this Curt Circuit Protected Converter w/ SMT work for me? It says not recommended for vehicles with LED lights. If this will not work can you offer alternative product / products that will. Thanks. I really need to get this order moving so that I can have it all installed in time for upcoming trip this is needed for, your prompt reply would be much appreciated, thanks.

For your 1986 Suzuki Samurai, you can absolutely use your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller # 90195. You will need to start with the Curt Circuit Protected Converter w/ SMT # C56175 to get a 4-way trailer connection if you don't already have one. Then you will use the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to add the other features and install your brake controller.
You can use the Pigtail Wiring Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controllers - 34" Long # 7894 to connect your controller if you need another pigtail. I also recommend using the Replacement Mounting Bracket Kit for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # TK5906 so you have a mount in each vehicle.
