How to Install Tire Cable Chains on a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon

Do the cable chains you recommend for the 18 in tire have a split connector so they can be installed without having to move the vehicle?

I am not sure I understand what you mean by split connector. If you take a look at the attached review video, you will see how the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains part # PW1046 should be installed on your 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon with 225/60-18 tires. You will first start by draping the cables over the tire and then aligning the opening towards the ground. Once you have the opening towards the ground you can then connect the cables on each side and pull to tighten them. Once they are tight you are done but it will be a good idea to check them as you have pulled forward and the cables have readjusted.

It is also recommended that you use a set of adjusters with these cables like the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters part # PW105 to ensure they remain in the position that they were installed.
