7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2018 Ford Explorer with Existing 4-Way
Question:
My 18 explorer came with a 4pin and i need a 7pin for my trailer. Can i just replace teh 4 with a 7?

As a matter of fact you can. I recommend using part # 74682 because not only is it a 7-way, like you need, but it's also a 4-way in case you ever need it.
When unplug the 4-way on your 2018 Ford Explorer there will be a connector that looks like the one I have pictured. The new 7- and 4-way plugs right into the same location. It also comes with a mounting bracket to help.
It's also a good idea to add some dielectric grease, part # 11755, on the connectors before plugging it all in.
