Can Chains be Connected to Curt Hitch Extender

If I extend my hitch what do I do with the chains? Get them extended or can they now hook to the extension?

Expert Reply:
There is not a place for safety chains to connect to the 18" Curt Extender for 2" Receivers # C45796 so you would need to get new safety chains as well; I have added a link to our selection of safety chains for you to check out such as the 60" # C19749.
Keep in mind you will need Pin and Clip # C21510 in order to attach the extender to your current hitch, and that an extender is going to reduce the capacity of your current trailer hitch by 50 percent.
