2019 Subaru Forester 4-Pole Wiring Harness
Question:
When is a hitch and 4 wire flat tab wire harness available for my 2019 Subaru Forester? It does seem the Ascent is the same platform but I can not be sure. Thanks in advance.

We have no way to know when a hitch fit will be confirmed for your 2019 Subaru Forester but we do have 4-pole wiring products for it right now. Please check back with us periodically on the hitch.
The linked page displays several brands of hardwired 4-pole harness as well as a non-invasive and removable option from Tekonsha, their ZCI (zero contact interface) clip-on harness.
If you want a hardwire kit I recommend part # C59496 which is a universal-fit powered converter harness that will protect your Forester's wiring from any potential faults on the trailer that could damage the car. Among the wired options this is the best one. An article is included to help you with routing the harness power wire.
If you like the idea of a wiring harness that does not need you to cut and splice into the new vehicle's wiring then the Tekonsha ZCI harness # 119250KIT is the way to go. The ZCI's magnetic sensor design means no cutting into your wiring and it also means you can transfer the harness to another vehicle when you need to.
Install videos for both Tekonsha harnesses are linked for reference.
