Troubleshooting Aggressive Trailer Braking with Curt Discovery on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I had a Curt Discovery brake controller installed on my 2018 Silverado. Not matter what I set the sync setting on, the brakes aggressiveness feels the same. I followed the directions for initial setup. My output is 3.5 and I have tried every setting on the sync adjustment. It still jerks when I release pressure on the trucks brakes. Am I doing something wrong!

Have you tried going different speeds when you are adjusting the power output of the Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller # C84VV on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500?

If you are only testing it at a slow speed and the brakes on your trailer are already set to be aggressive then it wouldn't take very much for your trailer to brake. Try putting the power output at the lowest setting for the Discovery, test it, and then go to the highest setting and see if that makes a difference.
