Braking System that Doesnt Apply Toad Brakes with Exhaust Brake

Question:

Is there a “work-around” to not have my Toad 2004 CRV apply its brakes when I activate my RV exhaust brake? I fear wearing out or worse, over-heating my toad brakes. I have a 40’ deisel pusher and I understand that the installation hooks this up to apply brakes on toad during both brake pedal or exhaust brake activation. I want my toad to apply its brakes when I apply the RV brake pedal only. If so, can you send me a link and additional info on the subject please? Thanks!

We have a supplemental braking system that is ideal for you situation. The Air Force One, part # SM99243, will do just that. The Air Force One only engages your toad's brakes when the air brakes of your motorhome are applied. And since they aren't being applied when you're using your exhaust brake the toad won't brake just from using the exhaust brake.

I've linked a video of the Air Force One being installed in a new CR-V for you.
