Installation of Brake Controller on 2007 Dodge Ram
Question:
I have the brake controller hooked up under the dash via an adapter that hooked up to the controller then to port under the dash. I have the four flat connector on the back and am trying to find the correct wire in the rear to hook up the brake controller and charging wire for my RV 7 way plug. I dont need the purple rev hooked up. What color wire in the back is the brake controller from the under dash port hook up and the power for the chargin part of the 7 way . Thank you for the help

If you are installing a brake controller such as the Prodigy P3 # 90195 on your 2007 Dodge Ram and already have Wiring Adapter # 3020-P hooked up what you need to do is use a circuit tester such as # PTW2979 to find the correct wires; normally it is the blue wire which is the brake wire and black wire which is the 12V hot lead.
I have added two help articles I strongly recommend checking out, one about installing a brake controller from scratch and the other which details installing a controller in a Dodge truck such as yours. It has details, such as the accompanying cut out, which may be useful for your application.
