Troubleshooting Rear View Safety Wireless Camera Turning Off Quickly

My system seems to be eating batteries. I turn on the camera get in the truck and the camera goes off. What’s the problem??

Have you paired the camera and monitor yet? According to the instructions for the Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch Camera # RVS-83112 when you put the camera in "pair" mode it is only in that mode for 10 seconds. It also takes 3 seconds to turn the monitor on so you would need to be moving pretty fast to get from the back of your pickup in time to pair the monitor.

If pairing is the issue then you can simply sit in the cab of your pickup with the camera in hand so that you don't have to move to power up the monitor.
