I then recommend using the Thule Portage Canoe Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Side Loading # TH819 to secure your canoe to these crossbars. If you want the cleaner look you can use the adapter # THXADAPT12 to connect this to the top channel of your aero bars.
