Which Way Do the Conical Tooth Washers Face on the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch for a 2018 Dodge Journey
Question:
The Drawtite hitch number 76225 instructions are void in which direction the conical washer position is supposed to be. Also where instructions say a 5/32 Allen wrench would be helpful, well in my 2018 Journey the fastener is a Torx bolt about T-25 or T30, I have not checked size yet. Back to the conical washer, I am assuming that it acts like a lock washer and that the concave side should be towards the frame and convex side towards the net. If this is correct then etrailer should add an addendum to the instructions and also contact the manufacturer and have them improve on their instructions. Thanks

If you take a look at page 3 of the instruction manual for the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76225, you can see where it states to have the teeth on the conical tooth washer facing the trailer hitch. I have attached a photo of this part for you as well.
